Barristers’ Chambers Limited (BCL) manages and coordinates all property services including management and maintenance across 80 floors in seven buildings in the Melbourne CBD court precinct.

After Hours Support

For property support outside of business hours, please contact us and follow the prompts to assist with your request.

Ordering new or replacement keys & security passes

 

Please request any new passes or keys, replacement keys and passes or changes to your current access here.

Please note occupants are liable for any lost access devices and keys and any work undertaken by BCL or its contactors to re-secure the property.

Keys and security passes

 

All electronic key cards and devices for chambers are purchased outright and are the property of the occupant.

Any physical keys issued to occupants remain the property of BCL and are to be returned upon vacating.

After Hours Air-Conditioning

Please select your building to view after hours air-conditioning information.

Normal air-conditioning operating hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

There is a button on each floor which activates after hours air-conditioning.

To activate, press and hold the button for 10 seconds and air-conditioning will commence operation in 10 minutes.

Repeat this process to re-activate after 2 hours.

Normal air-conditioning operating hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Enter your user name, which is your Victorian Bar email and password, which is ‘pass’ (please note if this is the first time you’ve logged in you will need to choose a new password).

If you have recently relocated chambers the password will have been set by the previous tenant. Please contact the BCL Service Desk to reset this.

Please note, you must be in chambers and connected to the BCL network to access the website.

The after-hours heating and cooling system can be activated by pushing the button on the bottom right of the controller. A red light will illuminate to indicate the system is turned on. This will service the floor for two hours.

Levels 9, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 18: Controller located next to electrical switchboard.

Level 14: Controller located next to chamber 1408.

Level 16: Controller located in the kitchen area next to the communications cupboard.

Level 17: Controller located in the utilities room next to the communications cupboard.

You can then place a request for either 2 or 4 hours of after-hours air-conditioning.

Please note, any existing after-hours air-conditioning requests must reset every 2 or 4 hours based on selection.

  • Chamber door

Cleaning

We provide cleaning services between the hours of 5.30pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday:

  • Chambers (vacuum, dusting and emptying of bins)
  • Common areas, including kitchens and meeting rooms
  • Bathrooms
  • Lift lobbies

Additional costs may apply for cleaning that falls outside of the standard chamber cleaning

Recycling & Waste Removal

Recycling

Recycling bins are placed in the common area of all floors.

For recycling of confidential documents, contact Shred-X directly on 1300 747 339 to obtain a quote to place a Shred-X bin on your floor.

E-Waste Collection

BCL conducts e-waste collection twice per year in July and November.

To organise a quote for e-waste collection outside of collection times, please contact the BCL Service Desk.

Functions & Events

To ensure the appropriate measures are put in place (such as security or cleaning) for any planned event or function to be held on the floor please advise the BCL Service Desk and complete the Event Notification Form here.

Report an Incident

To report all security and work, health and safety incidents, please follow the below instructions.

Step 1:

Contact the BCL Service Desk on 9225 8888.

Step 2:

Complete and submit the incident form within 24 hours of the incident.

In Chamber Works

Contact the BCL Service Desk for details required on all in chamber works such as:

  • Picture hanging
  • Joinery installation and alterations
  • Flooring
  • Painting

BCL will coordinate and provide costs associated with these works and any regulatory requirements.
