ODCW & ODCE EWIS Testing
10th May, 2012 Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS) testing is to be completed on Saturday 19th May, 2012, from 7am to approximately 3pm. Details for testing are as follows: Owen Dixon Chambers East - Test and confirm that alert and evacuation tomes can be heard in all areas of the building. This testing will take approximately 5-10 minutes per level and will require common area access and random chambers access on all levels to check EWIS tones. A partial cascade test will also be completed. This requires EWIS tones to operate from the activated floor and going two floors up and one down approximately every 3 minutes. It is estimated that the cascade testing will take about 20 minutes. Owen Dixon Chambers West - Testing involves sound pressure level recording in all areas of the buildings. Access to chambers will be necessary to record sound pressure levels. A full cascade test will also be completed (see above) taking approximately 60 minutes. Disruption is unavoidable during this testing process. BCL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
BCL Footy Tipping Competition
29th February, 2012 The 2011 football season is fast approaching and BCL have set up a tipping competition. The season begins Saturday 24th March so hurry and join! It is easy to enter with 2 options available: 1. A free competition with the leading tipster winning a case of wine and BCL to pay for 1 month's free internet access. 2. A competition with an entry fee of $25.00. The winning prize will be determined by the number of participants with all money being distributed for prizes. Please forward payment to Carla at the BCL office. Prizes will be rewarded at the conclusion of Round 23. Depending on the level of participation we may have weekly prizes in the $25 competition. To join, simply go to the BCL website (www.bcl.net.au), and on the Bulletin board under "Footy Tipping Competition" click on either "BCL" or "BCL25", depending on which competition you choose. Once in the Footy tipping site, enter the password "BCL" or "BCL25" before clicking on the "Join Now" button. If you are already a member of the footytips website, simply enter your login details in the top right corner. If not, you will need to create a profile. Remember, you have to be in it to win it! BCL Refurbishment Plan
